Congratulations to Peace Day Philly on your 15th anniversary! PDP has provided an outstanding role model for cities worldwide promoting peace by bringing together diverse members of the community in all kinds of artistic and educational activities celebrating the annual International Day of Peace. PDP has a distinguished history of working for many years to amplify Peace Day by bringing students to the United Nations and offering an impressive range of opportunities to be a peacemaker both online and in the City of Brotherly Love. Special appreciation goes to Lisa DiNardo Parker who has selflessly and ably stewarded PDP since its inception as an internationally recognized beacon of peace.

Peace Day Philly Shines as a model for city-wide participation in peacebulding activities. Through efforts such as Peace Day Philly, in cities and towns around the world, we are moving closer to the day when peace becomes a norm in our society and in the world. - Chicago Build the Peace

Peace Day Philly has reverberations around the world. We’re proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Philadelphia in support of peace in our world and in our own neighborhoods. - The Enough Project

Peace Day Philly is such a valuable initiative because of its ability to unite diverse groups of peacemakers for them to do something active. Peacemaking is not a passive process, and Peace Day highlights the things that have been done, and the things that have yet to be done, toward promoting active peacemaking in a way that no other initiative does. - Global Citizen/MLK Day of Service

Peace Day Philly is a perfect example of what it means to think globally and act locally!  - The Dialogue Project

A special thank you to Peace Day Philly for your incredible work for raising awareness of this day and that’s deeply impacting people’s lives.
- Peace One Day

Peace Day Philly's message has such great appeal to our local, as well global communities. Our students want to help spread this universal and critically important message however we can. Music is often viewed as a "common language" we can all share and shared experiences have the power to bring us together and help us to get to know and respect each other. - Philadelphia Sinfonia

The true measure of success for Peace Day Philly is how it inspired and encouraged on the ground peace building efforts in inner city Philadelphia. Whether sports or art, the environment or education, the Peace Day Philly organization has been a practical and productive catalyst for dialogue and positive actions to increase safety, prosperity and quality of life in Philadelphia.  - International Cities of Peace
